Scratch-Made Italian-American Cooking on the Gulf Coast

Chef-owned, handmade pasta, wood-fired specialties, and fresh Gulf favorites right in Hudson, FL.

About Us

Over a thousand reviews and a 4.4-star rating tell you something real is happening at Hudson Grill. This is a chef-owned kitchen on Denton Ave where nothing comes from a bag or a freezer truck. The pasta is handmade. The sauces are built from scratch. The wood-fired oven does the kind of work that a microwave simply cannot replicate.

The restaurant draws a crowd that keeps coming back, and the reason is straightforward: the food tastes like someone actually cooked it. Gulf Coast favorites like snow crab share the menu with Italian-American classics and prime rib, a range that reflects the community it feeds rather than a corporate formula dreamed up in a boardroom.

There are no fifty televisions here, no franchise décor, no sense that you could be eating this same meal in any strip mall in America. Hudson Grill is rooted in the small-town Florida character of the Hudson Beach community, and that specificity is exactly what makes it worth the drive.

What We Offer

Hudson Grill is open for dine-in Tuesday through Sunday, with lunch service beginning at 11:30 AM each day. Friday and Saturday evenings run until 10:00 PM, giving you a little extra time to linger over dessert or a second round.

Reservations are available online, which is worth using on weekends when the dining room fills up fast. If you are planning something bigger, the restaurant offers private party hosting for groups, as well as catering services for events beyond the restaurant walls. Both options bring the same scratch kitchen quality off-site or into a dedicated space.

The team is also actively hiring, so if you want to work in a kitchen that actually cooks, check the job openings page on their website at hudsongrillfl.com.

"Wow!! This place was amazing. We started off with the Sweet Chili bone in wings, Fresh bread, And the fried grilled cheese. Then for out entrees we got the classic burgers which were so juicy and flavorful. Also got the shrimp tacos. I highly recommend this place. Everything was great. Very delicious. We will definitely be back."

"We pass this restaurant often while staying in the area and it’s always busy. For our first time, the food was very good. We had spaghetti and meatballs (2 large)and chicken Parmesan (2 breasts). Both portions were large and arrived quickly once our server took our order. The salads were fresh with lettuce and tomato. We had to ask for butter for our bread and although the bread was good it would have been great if it was served warm. The review would have been 5 stars except for the parmesan cheese. When the pastas were delivered to our table I noticed a very small sprinkling of parmesan on top so I requested more, expecting a shaker to be brought to the table. Instead our server asked how many I wanted because they are .50 each…I’m not kidding. I wanted to say no thanks but asked for just one and it was the tiniest cup I’ve ever seen. It seriously might have contained 2 teaspoons. Curiously the table next to us also asked for Parmesan but no mention was made of the additional cost. Our likelihood of returning would have been higher if it was not for this ridiculous .50 charge. Dinners were not cheap so I find it hard to believe a sprinkle of cheese would cut into the profits."

"When I think of small town Florida, I think of the Hudson Grill. There's no hint of a franchise or big chain restaurant environment. You won't find 50 TV sets all on different channels or extra loud blasting music, or servers with that fake Southern charm. If you want that, go elsewhere or you will be sadly disappointed. It's a large open space with a separate bar and table room. A little noisy from family conversation. Young families and seniors. Food is reasonably priced, good sized portions, quality, with daily specials. If you're visiting our State it's well worth the experience. All of the staff are great and caring of how they serve. This was our first time and we were served by Tristan. To say served is an insult to her. She is only the second professional waitress I have ever met. She took our five orders, no notes, answered all our questions, dealt with our order quirks, and everyone got exactly what we ordered. Checked by her before we received it. Got us what we were going to ask for before we asked. If you visit Clearwater and see all we have to offer tourists, drive the 20 miles up Hwy 19 and visit Hudson Grill. Real hometown America."

"The food was too notch. Had grouper fingers with fries and slaw. Huge 4 pieces and for only 18 bucks. Will definitely go back. Service could be better. 4 of us dined and 3 got meals server forgot 4th person order had to put in acted like it was kitchen fault. We again will overlook this hiccup because food was really good"
